CAPPUCCINO
CAPPUCCINO is an Italian word that does not translate directly into English. This traditional beverage of Italy is a popular morning beverage made from just two things: espresso coffee and milk steamed into puffy foam. The foam has a little peak, just like the hood worn by the Capuchin monks; hence the name CAPPUCCINO. "Coffee please" is being replaced by a more sophisticated request for CAPPUCCINO. Unlike Italy, in the United States CAPPUCCINO is not just enjoyed in the morning but throughout the entire day. This warm and relaxing beverage is the perfect accompaniment from the morning Danish to an elegant dinner. In the beginning, the average price of a CAPPUCCINO machine was $5000 with larger models costing as much as $30,000. Today's post-mix CAPPUCCINO products can be dispensed through a machine costing less than $1,500.
